HL Design were appointed by Tower Surgery to design their new Surgery on Barry Waterfront to replace their existing building which they had outgrown and unsuitable for the expanding services they wished to provide.

The practices experience in Healthcare design enabled us to advise and guide the users through the development process and agree the best layout to suit their requirements. The new Surgery incorporated numerous Consultation Rooms, Treatment Rooms, a Minor Operations / Procedures Room and Reception / Waiting Area within the clinical area. The building also accommodated Support Offices, Staff Rest Room and Meeting Rooms within the administration area. The design provided retail space for a Pharmacy (Lloyds) and a space for future expansion (Now occupied by a Dental Practice).

The new building was located on a reclaimed dockland site and required piled foundations.

The project was completed on time and within budget.
